Graduate seminar is organized to create a discussion forum for students and faculty in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Its completion is one of the degree requirements for all graduate students. Each MS student must pass two and PhD student three one hour seminars. The seminar is passed when a student attends all presentations in the quarter in which he/she is registered for the seminar (maximum two excused absences are permitted) and presents his/her work in one of the seminars. The passing grade is received if a student actively participates in all the seminars and writes a brief summary report for each presentation attended.
